Hugh Nickerson - Managing Director
Hugh founded Conundrum in 1994 (with fellow director Rachel Goulding) and continues to take an active hands-on role in all our projects and assignments, leading the small dedicated Conundrum team in the delivery of bespoke solutions across a range of sectors. Hugh has vast experience of working with company owners, boards, management teams and external investors to improve business performance and address their often complex and challenging people related issues.
Rachel Goulding - Finance Director
After an early career in finance and administration at Deloittes, Rachel went on to join the Sutton Company, managing the leveraged buyout office in New York and London. Following 3 years as a Business Researcher at Palladine Private Equity, Rachel established Conundrum with Hugh Nickerson in 1994 where she leads on finance and on client HR administration.
Anne Gradwell - HR Advisor
Anne has gained over 12 years’ experience in Human Resources, working within both regulated and non-regulated industries with large corporations including Network Rail and Bank of Ireland Group as well as smaller start-ups and creative industries. Since joining the Conundrum team in 2007 Anne continues to build dedicated and ongoing relationships with every client, providing specialist advice across all aspects of Human Resources management.
Bethan Ellis – HR and Recruitment Advisor
Following an early career in floral design which culminated in the achievement of a Chelsea Flower Show Award in 2010, Bethan went on to gain experience in the hospitality and leisure sectors with a progressive career in venues including Thermae Bath Spa and Longleat Safari & Adventure Park where she led the dedicated Guest Services team. Since joining the Conundrum team in 2014 Bethan plays a pivotal role in client relations, in which she ensures the full resolution and timely delivery of all client projects.
Jordane Binns – HR and Recruitment Administrator
Following her A levels, Jordane joined Conundrum in 2013 as an Apprentice providing administrative support. Whilst at Conundrum she has achieved a Level 2 Business Administration NVQ, a Human Resources Practice Level 3 CIPD qualification and will soon be completing a Level 3 Business Administration NVQ while continuing to carry out client HR administration.
Vicky Standing – Research Consultant
Vicky began her career in Film PR and Marketing and went on to join the BBC in 1990 where as a journalist, researcher and ultimately producer at Radio 4, she was involved with a wide variety of programmes including 'Today' and 'Woman's Hour'. Working with the Conundrum team since 2001 Vicky plays a key role in leading the research on behalf of all our clients, with a particular focus on recruitment.
